Most people keep two piles: the sites they follow, and the articles they meant to get back to. Kept is one app for both. Subscriptions on one side, anything you share into it on the other, and the same reader for either.
When a feed sends two sentences and a link, Kept goes and gets the article itself, keeps the readable part of it, and drops the rest. What is left reads the same on a train with no signal as it does at home.
Nothing phones home. There is no account, no server of ours, and no analytics in the app. Your subscriptions and your reading history never leave your phone, because there is nowhere for them to go. The details are in Kept's privacy policy.
Under construction. Kept is being built right now and is not on Google Play yet. It is not open for testing, and there is nothing to download from this page. When there is, it will be here first.
Subscriptions import and export as plain OPML, so what you built here opens in any other reader. No lock-in, and nothing to unpick if you leave.
No streaks, no recommendations, no infinite feed of things you never asked for. It fetches what you follow and then gets out of the way.
Tables, code, figures and images survive the trip. The reader shows the real thing rather than a flattened text view, so a recipe still has its list and a tutorial still has its code.
